Not sure what to say?

As I prepare to write my annual holiday letter and find Dorothy's name at the top of my mailing list, I'm struck again by how much she features in my memories, especially at this time of year. Her Christmas letter was always one of the first I received every year, and she always added a little personal note. I would recognize her handwriting anywhere! I'm so glad she was an important part of my life, and I'll always miss her. Love, Lolly

My sister, Laurie Smith, said it all: Dorothy was a dear cousin and fellow genealogist. We exchanged many tidbits of family history over the years, and I will miss her input on the truth or fiction associated with some of them. She was truly one-of-a-kind, and there will be a void in the family tree which cannot be filled. With love, Penny

as a l7 year old Freshman @ Lewis & Clark..I was admitted to the 60 voice chorus...Dorothy was this brilliant singer and beautiful sophomore....she was nice to everyone...she asked me to sing harmony with her at the Homecoming ..I was awe-struck she asked me...she was the same down to earth person again in the West Linn Chorus....You will be missed by all of us

Dorothy and I were cousins (her father and mine were first cousins), born a year apart, and I have so many memories of time with her when we were young. She was so pretty and talented that it was lucky she was so sweet that I couldn't be jealous of her! I remember going with my grandmother to watch her compete on the "Stars of Tomorrow" radio show. I was a bridesmaid in her wedding to Jack Venables, when I wore a yellow and white sheath dress my grandmother made. She looked like the bride...

It was such privilege to sing with the talented Dorothy Bryant. She was an anchor for the tenors and lent her sonorous voice to the I-5 Connection Chorus. She also dressed really well and I appreciated her smile and encouragement. Her passing is a great loss to us all.

I am so sorry to learn about Miss Dorothy´s passing. I knew her from First Christian Church. I worked at the church and she helped me navigate life in the ministry, we laughed and mourned together, she taught me the hula and so much more. She was a beautiful human inside and out. Love to all of her friends and family!

To Kevin & family. So sorry to hear of your Mother's death. Small world. I knew her from First Christian Church. She was good friends with my stepmother & Dad, Polly & Darrell Galloway. They have been gone for over 20 years, but that is where I first met your Mom. Kevin- you were DJ at my daughter's wedding, as you are a friend of my husband, David Nedwek. We have such good memories of you making our reception so special. We just moved back from Massachusetts, and are resettled in Canby....

My deepest condolences to Dorothy's family. She was a treasured friend to my mother. From all I have heard from Mom, she was a lovely and talented woman who touched the lives of many friends and residents at Spring Ridge.

To the family, Although I never meet her I feel I know her from watching "Miss Dorothy" everyday & waiting to hear her say my name in the magic mirror. Years later working with Danita I felt I got to know her again. She had many accomplishments in her life & her family will miss her, but they all have memories they will be able to keep her spirit alive. My sympathy to all of the family.
