Not sure what to say?

I was also a student of Mrs. Haven's. I remember her class at the old location of La Jolla Country Day school (where she taught in the early '60s). I send my condolences to her family.(I had the privilege of seeing her at a '60s grads reunion held in May of '08 at the old location of the Balmer school (at the Wisteria cottage)in La Jolla... Just found out about her passing today...How sad.

I enjoyed seeing Dorothy every week, as we all did. She was such a lovely person, always smiling and spreading kindness. I can't help but smile when I think of her. Dorothy was a good example of how to grow old with grace. We will miss her physical presence but it feels like she's still here with us too!

With deepest sympathy, may the power of prayer ease your sorrow, give you peace and provide much comfort for you and your family during this difficult time. (Matthew 21:22)

Dorothy was more that a teacher to me. She was also my mentor. A great part of what I am today is because of her instructions, not only dramatics but also in how to approach and deal with life.

Dorothy was my mentor and much of what I am today is from her teaching and friendship though the years.

May the God of comfort be with you at this time

Mrs. Haven was one of the most outstanding teachers I ever had in my life. I was her student at La Jolla Country Day School and to this day, my memories of her are vivid and wonderful. She was a brilliant and talented teacher. Thank you, Mrs. Haven!

We were so fortunate to have Ms. Haven as our neighbor. Thank you for all that you did for La Jolla, San Diego and your family's service to our country. You will always be in La Jolla.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I pray in the midst of your sorrow you find comfort in all
the joyful memories shared and will always cherish these beautiful memories . Romans 15:13 -
