DOROTHY CONKLING Obituary
DOROTHY MAE CONKLIN G Dorothy Mae Conkling, age 84 of Palm Beach Gardens, FL passed away quietly December 27, 2012. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank in 1987. Dorothy is survived by her children: Frank Conkling (Sue), Michael Conkling (Patricia), DawnMarie Lynch, Wendy Rourk (William), Joseph Conkling (Bethany), Jacqueline Means (Mark); grandchildre n, Christopher, Carrie (Daniel), Megan, Amanda (Kevin), Jennifer (Christopher) , Jeremy (Meghan), Joshua, Austin and Zachary; great grandchildre n, Hope, Faith and Aiden; sisters, Ruth Steele, Evelyn Mihm, Lillian Young, MaryJane Decker; and brother-in- law, Herb Doughty. Dottie will forever be remembered as a kind, giving person, full of love for everyone she met. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed traveling and taking cruises. She touched a multitude of lives, enriching them all by unselfishly sharing her kindness, compassion and joy. All who met her understood how it feels to be loved. Funeral Services were held on Monday, December 31st at the funeral home. She was laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Lost a wonderful lady. My grandmother a wonderful mother, teacher and especially a grandmother. She is going to be missed terribly, but her memory and teachings will live on in all of us who were a part if her life. She touched so many people's lives and anyone who met her felt like family too.
I enjoyed seeing her in the summer time and surprising her with my girls and I coming down to visit. This was the best gift I could have ever given her. I will cherish that summer forever.

I lost my wonderful grandmother. Her memories will always be with us and she will always be a part of our lives. I will miss how great her hugs always were and how her face would light up when she was with her whole family. She was such an inspiration on how to never let anything stop you from being happy and enjoying the important things in life... I love you Nanny and am so happy that I had you in my life... I will never forget you or the things you told me

Aunt Dot, I hope you know how much I love you and how you taught me to love myself and to love others. There will never be another woman quite like you. You have given me a shining example of how to conduct myself as a woman of honor and dignity, you taught me not to judge others and that noone has a right to judge me. That is God's job. I know I will be a better person for having known you. You have been an amazing Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend to countless people you will never be forgotten.
