Dearest "Mother" Dorothy ~
Happy Birthday! I miss you so much and remember, with such fondness, the many Birthdays that I called and sang to you! This past year so many that had a profound effect on my "OES Life" have joined you in the Celestial Chapter. You, and they know, who they are. Please have them all give you hugs for me today. Thank them for all that they did --- or tried to do --- for me. I appreciate their love and support more than they will ever know. Thank you for always...

She was such a lovely lady and her devotion to the Order of Eastern Star was outstanding. I met and talked with her during our Grand Chapter Session in 2002.

As a Past Grand Patron of Dorothy Dewing's Triennium, her beautiful and sparking smile will be missed by my wife, Lucia, and myself.

Sister Dorthy was a wonderful LADY, I looked forward every March to meet her at the airport coming in to our Grand Chapter, I always got a big smile and a GREAT HUG. I will miss her very much, but always remember the good things. I was Gr. Rep. of Oregon in La. 01 & 02. Ed.

I wish to express my sympathy to Sister Dorothy's family.
I want to let you know that with her friendliness, smile and enthusiasm she brought
sunshine to all who met her. She had friends all over the OES world.

She had a phenomenal memory for faces, names and little things about people. She
remembered all she met. She is truly an example to all of us of fraternal love. We all miss her.

We didn't know each other for a very long time but Dorothy was one of those people who leaves a wonderful life-lasting effect in your heart that will never be eraced. In some special and loving ways, she reminded me of my mother whom I lost just a few short years ago and enjoyed having her refering to herself as "Mom" to me (as she did to us all). Love you, Dorothy, and I miss you deeply.

Deepest sympathy, we miss you and wish God had not taken you before you were able to complete your Session in November.

We thought she was invincible. How could this happen? God had a better plan for her. We mourn her leaving but celebrate this wonderful new life she has entered.
We loved you then as we love you now,Mother Dove.

Dorothy Dewing spent many Grand Chapter Sessions here in Washington State and always had wonderful, wise words to say to each of us. She will be greatly missed.
