Grandma has been a loving presence in my life throughout my life. I have always felt this despite the miles between us. Her intelligence and independendence were an inspiration, particulary as she was raised in an age in which these were not virtues particularly fostered in girls. She continued to work to help others, particularly through her guild, throughout her life. She has been a role model for me. I will miss her deeply.

Our family knew her as Aunt Dodo - and she was a GREAT Aunt! Her smile, her great interest in our lives, her care for our mom - and the whole family, and her palpable inner strength will be some of the lasting memories I will cherish about Dorothy! My prayers are with all who gather today and tomorrow as our Osborn Matriarch is celebrated and honored.

Grandma was truly an amazing person and a blessing to us all! She will be missed.

As I just mentioned to a friend, it has been a blessing to get to know Grandma twice in the same lifetime - once as a child, and once again moving to the Midwest a few years ago. Her spirit, her downright good sense, her love for all of her extended family (my wife and I lost count of the number of birthdays she remembered off the top of her head) - all of these will be sorely missed. I'm extremely glad to have been able to see her and sing a little and read that Sunday's Scripture from...
