Dorothy Mae Flavin

FLAVIN, Dorothy Mae – Of Swartz Creek, age 100, died Saturday, October 12, 2019 at her residence.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at West Court Street Church of God, 2920 West Court Street, Flint, Brad Walker officiating.

Burial in Bendle Cemetery.

Those desiring may make contributions to West Court Street Church of God.

Visitation 1-3 p.m. and 5 -8 p.m. Tuesday at at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.

Mrs. Flavin will be at church from 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.

Dorothy was born in Flint, Michigan on April 24, 1919,daughter of the late Hose and Alice (Renwick) Coolman and was a resident of Flint and Swartz Creek all of her life.

On January 14, 1936 she married Raymond M. Flavin and he preceded her in death on January 10, 2008.

She was a life member of West Court Street Church of God.

Surviving are children, Joan Flavin of Swartz Creek, Lyn D. Flavin of Swartz Creek and  Judy Flavin of Swartz Creek;

13 grandchildren;

many great and great-great-grandchildren;

She was preceded in death by her son, Raymond M. Flavin Jr.; daughter, Julye Kagan and sister, Hazel Seeland.
