Dorothy R. Gagnon

1926 - 2019

Dorothy R. (Wood) Gagnon, age 92, of Somerset, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Norbert Gagnon. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Joseph and Cecilia (McCann) Wood, she has been a longtime resident of Somerset. In addition to being a homemaker, Mrs. Gagnon was a member of St. Marys Womens Club and a local square dan- cing club. She enjoyed keeping a clean house and bowling. She was the mother of the late Thomas Gagnon. She is survived by two grandsons; Brandon Weymouth and his wife Patricia and Charles Weymouth and his wife Wendy both of Maine; four great grandsons, Jacob, Liam Aiden and Joshua Weymouth; three nephews, Ralph Matthews of Houston, TX, Patrick T. Matthews Esq. and his wife Lisa of Freetown, Kenneth Caouette of Fall River; four nieces, Kathleen Soine of Shelton, WA, Dorcas OHearne and her husband Charles of Fall River, Mary Ellen Loverde of Somerset and Farnae Vacchelli of Jensen Beach, FL; brother-in-law, Bernard Gagnon of Florida and many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 8:30 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County St., Somerset. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Patricks Church, 306 South St., Somerset. Burial will be in St. Patricks Cemetery, Somerset.
