I was sorry to hear about Dorothy's passing. She left an indelible imprint on all of us who grew up on Cooper Drive. I'll remember her as someone with boundless energy and courage. I always think of her when I see an Evergreen Magnolia and recall her annual battle to keep the ice from breaking the branches.
