Gilstrap, Dorothy Marie (nee Wagner) born November 25, 1919, in Kirkwood, MO, died of natural causes on March 9, 2013 at the Bethesda Meadow nursing home in Ellisville, MO. Dorothy, a lifelong resident of St. Louis County, was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Ida Wagner; her husband of 58 years Jim Gilstrap, and her son Mark Gilstrap; loving mother of Doris Brown (Larry) of Freeburg, IL, Jim Gilstrap (Connie) of Lake Saint Louis, MO, Jesse Gilstrap (Verna Wentz) of Raleigh, NC, and Doug Gilstrap (Lisa) of Moscow Mills, MO; grandmother of twelve: Steven Brown, Kenneth Brown, Janet Vogel, Laurie Fields, Eric Gilstrap, Traci Morkassel, Michael Gilstrap, Scotty Gilstrap, Maria Keeler, Jimmy Gilstrap, Jeremy Gilstrap, and Timmy Gilstrap; great grandmother of nine; and great, great grandmother of one. Grandma I miss you!!! Thank you for ALWAYS loving and encouraging me. My heart is truly broken and sad, but I have so many wonderful memories of our times/moments together that makes the loss of you a little bearable. Sorry for your loss Doris and Larry.I remember when I used to go to your home with Larry and my x wife LaVerne back in the early 50's. I used to see your mother at church in Maplewood she would be serving at some function and always talked about my visits. LaVerne has Alzheimer's but is still at home God bless both of you.
