I first met Dot when I served on the Friends of the Fernald Library Committee (now Friends of the CSC Library) in the early 1980's. It was a wonderful organization that raised money earmarked for library acquisitions. It was a pleasure serving with her, and I see now, she lead a remarkable life, with great diversity of interests and a passion for conservation and nature. My thoughts are with the surviving members of her family.
