I am so sorry to learn about the passing of a great lady. I was just a kid growing up in Amissville when Dorothy and Graham operated Hackley's Store. They were always very nice to me, and I always appreciated that (I worked one summer pumping Texaco gas and stocking shelves at their store. Dorothy Hackley was part of the fabric of Amissville village and my childhood memories. She did make house calls to give my mother weekly shots and decades later my mother was a recipient of those cards. Linda and I exchanged cards with Dorothy. I especially enjoyed sending her St. Patrick´s Day cards and sharing about our Ireland trips knowing her heritage was from the Emerald Isle.
