I remember Mrs. Hagerty (Dorothy), fondly, as my favorite grade school teacher. I was in her third grade class in the old McNulty School house outside of St. Helens. Our class was held there as an overflow from the McBride school. Her class was engaging and there was a wonderful emphasis on art. I also remember going to Dorothy's home in St. Helens for frequent visits. My mother would take me there and I would spend time with Dorothy doing various art related projects and playing with...

I met the Hagerty's in the early '70s when they were neighbors of mutual friends. We cherish the oils on canvas of a wheat field and of a floral arrangement which hang prominently in our living room. She and Hal were truly delightful people.
