To Mr Hamm and family,
You probably do not remember me. I was a little girl that attended Calloway during the 80s and my mom Sharon played for the kids choir after Ms. Taylor. Ms. Hamm gave me my first taste of Drama in a black history month play in which it was my duty to cry as member of Harriet Tubman's run-a-way group. I went on to study theatre throughout high school and at Howard.

Even though I left the area at a young age I still remember the years and can hear my Aunt Dorothys voice. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I was sorry to hear about your mother and grandmother passing. I am out of town, but wanted to express my condolences. I know that your mother and grandmother lived a full life and gave so much to this community. I often hear of the great efforts to assure opportunity for all. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in the loss of your mother. What a gracious and inspiring lady! I will always remember her words of wisdom and how she encouraged us to strive for the best. She was an example we could look to with pride.

You and your family have my deepest sympathy on the loss of your precious Mom. I had (have)such respect for your parents, especially Mrs. Hamm. What a grand lady! What a tremendous legacy she leaves behind. The civil rights work that she did on our behalf will never be forgotten and is most certainly appreciated.
