My husband Dan and I met Dorothy when she became a roommate of my Mother-in-Law, Lenore Corullo, at the Villa Maria. We got to know and love her in a very short time and hated to see her move to SkyView. She was such a sweetheart and looked out for Lenore when ever she needed something. At 95, she put many of us to shame with her wonderful memory. We visited with her a few times at the SkyView and she always made us feel that she was so happy to see...

Dorthy & Oliver were friends of my parents, John & Viola Kangas, through Zion Luth Church in Ironwood, and neighbors of Jerry's parents, Leonard & Ingrid Korpela, in Hurley. As widows, Dorothy became an invaluable support system for Viola. They talked frequently & attended church & events there together. My Mom considered her one of her special "angels" for many years. We are ever grateful for that bond of friendship they shared.

Dorothy and Oliver were friends of my parents. When I was a kid I thought they were related to us. Dad did not stop watching sports on Sunday except when the Harma's came to visit. Five years ago I introduced my husband to Dorothy. He had worked for Oliver in the mines and my Dad had worked for Oliver in the woods.
