Dorothy A. Helt

The outpouring of sympathy we have experienced during the last few days since we lost our beloved Dorothy Helt overwhelms our family. We are grateful to be reminded that she touched so many people throughout her long and active life. Many of you knew her as one of the oldest and most involved members of the New Dorp Moravian Church, a volunteer at Snug Harbor, the nice lady who worked in Lobel's, or as a loving neighbor or friend. But to my siblings, cousins and me, she was simply our beloved...

I was so saddened to hear that my Great Aunt Dottie had passed away. I'll always have fond memories of her, especially of swimming in her backyard pool. She was a warm, wonderful woman who led a full life, and I have always been proud to have been named after her.

My deepest condolence to a great lady. She will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

I have so manymemories of your
Mother from my early childhood, as
teenager being a babysitter for all
of you and our visits when I came
back east.
I shall miss her.
