Not sure what to say?

Dorothy Hendry supervised my practice teaching in 1966 and became my mentor and friend for the next forty years. Her generous spirit and positive outlook will live on through her family, her students, her writing, and through all of us who were fortunate enough to know her.

So sorry to here of Mrs. Hendry's passing. Without her I would not have a high school diploma.

Aunt Dorothy was an enormously gifted person, but perhaps her greatest gift was lifting up the gifts of others and encouraging them to use their gifts. I will miss her wise reflections and wry humor, but heaven's gardens will surely look better than ever.

My prayers are for the family.

An amazing woman, an inspiring teacher, a rare and special person.

To be with Dorothy was to be surrounded by love, charm, wit and fun. What more can any of us wish? She was more than special.

I will always remember her as "Mrs. Hendry", a kind and gracious teacher and mentor to many students.

She was the most wonderful sister a person could ever have.

She was the epitome of the gracious Southern woman. She will be missed.
