Read MoreI enjoyed working with Mrs. J at Aldine High and having coffee with her and Norman when I visited them at their home. Mrs. J was so kind to me and to our two kids, cutting our son's hair for his wedding and frequently "giving me a decent look" She was indeed special.

I remember Mrs. J very well as she was my cosmetology teacher in 71 and 72. She was a classy lady. Sharon Smith Barton has kept me apprised of her condition. My deepest sympathy.
