Dorothy Anderson Knowles

Dorothy Anderson Knowles, age 82, died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Knowles was a native of Marlborough, MA and daughter of the late James Alfred and Helen Louise Kenney Anderson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Knowles, Jr., who died in 2003.

Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Father Mark Sappenfield will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mrs. Knowles is survived by her sons, Charles T. Knowles III and his wife Sherry of Kittery Point, ME, Michael P. Knowles and his wife Lee of Smyrna, Kevin R. Knowles of Murfreesboro; daughters, Karen Tayles and her husband Gilbert of Kingston, Ont., Janet Sellers and her husband Alan of Murfreesboro, and Beverly Kimbley and her husband Jim of Seymour, IN; sister, Carol Beech and her husband Jerry of Tipp City, OH; 13 grandchildren, Chad, Chris and Patrick Knowles, Shannon, Kristi and Erin Tayles, Daniel and Nathan Sellers, Erik, Jarrod and Aubrey Knowles, Joe and Megan Kimbley; and 8 great-granchildren.

Mrs. Knowles was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, and was a great supporter of St. Rose School.

Visitation will be 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Grandsons and Dave Patton will serve as Pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to St. Rose School in memory of Mrs. Knowles.
