O'Neill Funeral Home - Cumberland Obituary

Dorothy Kross, 93, of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016. She was the wife of the late Edward T. Kross. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late William and Rosanna (Cayer) Longtin. Dorothy lived most of her life in Cumberland. She enjoyed travelling with her late husband, ballroom dancing and sewing. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Hetland and her husband, Alfred, her grandson, Kevin Chaisty and his wife Lauren, her great granddaughters, Giovanna Chaisty and Anna Kate Chaisty, and her sister, Faith Gaudet. She was the sister of the late Rita Bousqet, Rose Jolin, Shirley Hodgkins, Leo, William, Leonard, Irene, and Mary Longtin. The funeral will be held Saturday, September 24, 2106 at 8:30AM from the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Saint Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation Saturday from 8:30AM-9:30AM, prior to the Mass in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
