Dorothy Marie Lane, daughter of Homer Ervin Lane and Margaret Louise Barker Lane, was born May 17, 1955 in Perry, Iowa and died October 1, 2016 at her home in Perry at the age of 61. Dorothy lived in Perry most of her life. She was blessed with three children Shawn Michael, Heather Ann and Bryan James. Dorothy enjoyed decorating, flower pictures, collecting roosters and Prairie Meadows. She loved to socialize and help others in any way she could. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, brother Leonard Eugene Lane and sister-in-law Lori Lowe. Dorothy is survived by her children: Shawn Lane (Tiara Stanek) of Perry, Heather Corrigan (Kris) of Perry and Bryan Bielfelt (Brittany) of Prairie City; ten grandchildren: Anna, Austin, Thomas, Elizabeth, Alexis, Caden, Shawn Jr., Wyatt, Brylee and Adin; lifelong companion Keith Jones of Perry; brother Charles Lane of Independence; sisters Holly Helveston (Michael) of Perry and Margena; caregiver Christine Hornsby; her two precious kitties Tommy and Lily; nephews Donald McChesney II of Perry, Jacob Lane of Grand Junction, Jonathan Lane of Hiawatha, Sean Kula, Nathan Kula, Tommy Kula and Kaleb Jacobson all of Independence; nieces Jennifer Kula, Jessica Jacobson both of Independence, Stephanie McChesney, Amber Carmichael both of Perry and Kylee Jo Jacobson of Independence; other relatives and many many friends.
