Read MoreI am so sorry to not be able to attend today's service. It was always a happy time when dorothy was in the studio working. I enjoyed our knitting discussions, our clay discussions, her sense of humor and style. It was such a shock to read that she had passed away; i am having a hard time processing it, as i am sure you are too. I will miss her very much.

In my years as a student at the Potters Guild I looked forward to the days when Dorothy was working in the studio because I could count on her to take me aside for some timely advice and wry humor. I recently became an adjunct member of the Guild and was so looking forward to developing our friendship further. I will miss her impish smile and helpful hints, and am grateful for the interactions we had. She made me smile--and continues to do so as I think of her.
