Dear Lord. I've got to relay a story about Dodie. This saddens me. I moved from Olean in 1975, but returned in 1999. Dodie was one of many people i tried to find after returning home. I believe in was 1960. All of the north Olean kids would go to the river and swim at a place known as the "old mill." I dove off a dead tree on the other side of the river and got my leg tangled in the branches. I couldn't get my head above the water. Dodie was the ONLY who obviously saw me dive and not surface....

When my best childhood friend "Moose" told me he and Dodie were getting married I knew God was on his side. Blessings to the Menter family for the loss of such a great lady.
