Dorothy K. Meyer

Dorothy Meyer was my mother's (Gloria Meyer Pollard) stepmother. I met her and my biological grandfather, Norman Meyer, only once, in December, 1974. remember her fondly and treasure her Beanie Wienie recipe. Would very much like to get in touch with Norman Jacob Meyer, my mother's half-brother, who would be about 67 years old now. Please look me up on FB if you know how I can get in touch with him.

I remember my mom, aunt Mary Jane and Grandma baking Christmas cookies together at her house. Somewhere we have photos of 4 little girls (Suzie, Jenifer, Leslie and me) dressed up in our Easter bonnets and dresses in the yard at Grandma's house, too.
I still have a card in my recipe box, typed in the distinctive font she used, for "Chicken-Noodle Hot Dish" with a small hand written note that says "We like this very well-I put my almonds in cookies instead"

My Mother and I were also neighbors of Dorothy in the late 60's early 70's. I'm ashamed to say I lost contact w/Dorothy, but have held fond memories for 40 years. I have a couple of Dorothy's paintings that my Mother had purchased in the early 70's--of sunflowers and a still scene. She loved yellows, browns and greens. She also did a pastel picture of me for my Mother. What a marvelous talent and wonderful lady. You will be missed, Dorothy. RIP.

Our family was sad to hear of Dorthy's passing. I grew up next door and she was always so sweet and my children even enjoyed knowing her.
