MILLS, Dorothy C. - Of Lansing, age 87, died Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Funeral service will be held at 12Noon Saturday, December 21, 2002 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Reverend James Offrink officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation 6- 8PM Thursday and 1-4 and 6-8PM Friday at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held Friday evening conducted by the Swartz Creek Chapter No. 430 O.E.S. at the funeral home. Dorothy was born in Saginaw, Michigan on January 3, 1915 and was a resident of Flint and Grand Blanc for over 60 years and was most recently of Lansing. She was a member of Kirkridge Presbyterian Church, Swartz Creek Chapter No. 430 O.E.S., and Big Sisters of America. Dorothy volunteered as a Gray Lady at Genesee Memorial Hospital. Surviving are 2 sons, William H., Jr. and wife Maria of San Antonio, Texas, Edward S. and wife Angelia of Lansing; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Helen Wardelman of Portland, Oregon, Joyce Kenyon and Lorraine Pohlman, both of Saginaw; several nieces, nephews, cousins and lifetime friends. Dorothy was a very kind and loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H., Sr., in 1996 and infant son, Clyde, in 1938.
