Not sure what to say?

To the family of dear Dottie, I know what it is to lose a love one esp. one who is so admired and loved by many. Got to know Dottie from Arrowhead ladies league she was a lovely lady (but) did she throw a tantrum when she missed a shot - lol Sometimes I think she took the game too seriously. Guess that's one of the traits of a perfectionist, but she still came out with a good round. Her end of golf season luncheons and her taking the time to needle point our gifts showed the loving and...

Dottie Moyer became a dear friend of mine down in Naples Florida. She was a wonderful, warm and giving woman who went out of her way to help others. As I reflect back through the many years, I treasure the memories of fun times shared with Dr. Dot. Together with another mutual friend, we enjoyed fun evenings watching sunsets on the beach, going to concerts and musicals, going to the movies and then dissecting their merit, to just general hanging out. She touched not only my own life, but...

Dear George, Elizabeth & family,
On behalf of Pastor Wayde & Sonya and your "family" at Christian Life Assembly our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God be your source of comfort and strength. Dottie sounds like a very special lady and I know you will have many precious memories.

My sincere sympathy goes to Dotti Moyer's family and friends. I know how much she will be missed by all those close to her. As her colleage for 31 years at Kutztown University, I know of the great respect she received from the Kutztown University family. She was loyal and dedicated always. Her students were fortunate to have known her.

The people were truly better because Dottie came! We enjoyed 15 years working with Dottie at Kutztown & remained in contact through the years. A valued colleague, committed teacher and devoted friend she will be missed.

It was my good fortune to get to now Dottie Moyer many years ago. I so admired her kind nature and terrific mind. She always was concerned about her students and remained in close touch with many of them. I was glad to know she had some good years in Florida, playing golf. I know her children, grandchildren and neices and nephews will miss her greatly. I shall hold them in my prayers. I read the obituary and felt I had lost a friend.

My husband I lived next door to Dottie in Carlton Lakes, Naples Florida. She was the kindest person we ever met and best neighbor we ever had. She loved our dog Toby and he loved her. We kept in touch always after she moved to Arrowhead for her love of golf, and I always made sure to call her just to say hello. We will surely miss her. Our sympathies go out to her entire family.

Several of us met Dottie in two golf leagues in Florida; Arrowhead and Stoneybrook. She was instrumental in getting Arrowhead's Womens League started and seeing that it continued throughout the years with no mess and no fuss. She was always a little too hard on herself, always trying to perfect a game that defies perfection! She was a real competitor and a true friend, we will all miss her greatly.

I had the honor of having Dr. Moyer for several wonderful literature classes in the elementary education department at Kutztown in the early 1980's. Her love of literature, as well as teaching, were great examples to me throughout my life.
