Not sure what to say?

It has been 4 years since our beloved friend, Dorothy Newman, completed her earthly mission. However, her legacy lives within us daily! Her spunk, her years of involvement in community and politics certainly made a difference. Women are respected and given their rightful place because of Dorothy’s work! May her spirit continue to fly high keeping us on the right lane. Rest in Heaven, Dorothy!

Dorothy was a icon in Grand Rapids. She never missed a meeting and was so active in the community

My deepest sympathy goes to the Newman family. I knew Dorothy from the shop and from being a member of Local 167. She was a great lady and will be missed by many. Her dedication to the Union and to people in general was beyond belief and unbelievable. Rest in Peace Dorothy.

My condolences the the family of Dorothy Newman. As a member of Local 167 I always looked up to Dorothy as one of those amazing people you are privileged to meet along life's journey. May she rest in peace after a life well lived, a job well done. In Solidarity, Renée Grala

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Peace and comfort to Dorothy's family during this time.

It's easy for me to see that she passed it down when I worked with her grand sons! i will treasure the memory of each time I reached in the pocket to give her cap money and her dog and suds days. We...

Dorothy was truly a union and democratic advocate. I will miss my buddy. She was at the meetings more faithful than some who have their health. We have truly lost a trailblazer. R. I. P. Sandy Smith

Dorothy will be greatly missed by all employees and friends here at Waldon Woods!
