Lou Ann and family,
We love and will all miss Dorothy. She was a part of our "family" at Sweetbrook. Nothing brought her greater pleasure than talking about her family. I hope you can take some comfort in knowing how much she loved and cherished you all. I'm sure she is up in heaven doing a crossword puzzle. But she will always be in your hearts, and will always watch over you. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

LouAnn and Max-

There are no easy words to soften your loss. Dorothy was a witty, intelligent and caring person. I have a picture of her in my mind of sitting at the cold saturday morning soccer games to watch Max play, wrapped in a blanket, while wearing her pearls.
It's so difficult to be part of the so-called "sandwich generation", caught between raising children and caring for elderly parents. You did it beautifully. She was loved.

You should be very proud of the way you cared for your Mom. She was not only surrounded by family the night she died, but every day prior to that.
She was so proud of her girls and their accomplishments. Dorothy was greatful for her grandchildren, and the many years of joy they gave her.
As I sat here this morning reading her obituary, I remembered the many conversations we had together. She would often speak of her days as a teacher, and...
