Dottie was one of the sweetest, happiest people I know. I don't think I will ever be able to parse this terrible thing, but I know Dottie would want us to remember how she lived and not how she died, so I have a storehouse of memories of Dottie, her belted trenchoats and red headscarves and her little igloo cooler she brought her lunch in.
