The Riemer Family

So sorry about your mom. It is always a very hard thing to go through. Growing up in Merrick and especially those three blocks meant so much with "all" the moms and dads that looked out for all of us. Many memories to always look back on. Always keep those memories, they will make you laugh, again. Much love to all of you. Joanne (Spohrer) Schaub and family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Riemer family, sorry for your loss..........John DiPinto

Our Love And Prayers are going out for our "Dots" and her family, who she so strongly loved. She will be remembered and greatly, greatly missed. With Love, The DeBois Family

To all of the members of the Riemer family.there are no words to say at this moment that will make any of you guys feel better. But what i can pass along to everyone who loved her and just enjoyed being around her is that no matter what she will alway be with you guys until you see her again. Its wild to say that Ive been...

To the Riemer Family - so sad to hear of your Mom's passing. One of the many special "Dorothys" in the Ava Road, Ott Lane, South Drive circle of friends. Always with a smile and a great laugh. Even when she moved out of Merrick, she always made it a point to keep in touch with my Mom and Dad. Fond memories of all the neighbors growing up in Merrick - with love, thoughts and prayers, Dorothy (Spohrer) Byrne

Of course back in the day there were many family gatherings but one in Merrick in the mid 70s sticks in my mind. It was just announced the Giants were moving to New Jersey, which was very controversial at the time, but I remember the conversation went something like this:
Aunt Dorothy: "New Jersey? You're going there for the games? What are you going to do if they move to Denver?"
Uncle Rich: "Leave Thursday night."
.
These are the memories we cherish.

Love and prayers. Mrs. Dorothy Holzknecht and Family

Walter Kelly

Sorry to hear the news of your Mom's passing. I always remembered her as such a kind woman when we were kids growing up in Merrick. Glad we did get up to visit her last year at her home in St. Augustine. I went with my Mom, Mrs. H, my husband Walter Kelly and our youngest son Erik. We had such a nice visit. She put out a nice lunch and we talked and did alot of reminissing of our "old" days in Merrick . We had a very enjoyable visit, it was great seeing her. Love Janet (Holzknecht) Kelly and...
