Dorothy Zachary Rogers was born on May 24, 1929 and passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014. Age 85. She was an entrepreneur and the Owner/ Beautician of Dot's Beauty Parlor. She also was a sitter, cook, Insurance Agent and member of Bethel AME Church. Wife of George Rogers, Sr. Daughter of the late William and Lillian Zachary. Mother of Jeanette Small, George Rogers, Jr. and Seneca Ketchens-Thornton. Sister of Inez Z. Reed and the late Wilfred Zachary, Albertha Z. Smith , Evelyn Z. Holiday and Rosemary Z. Berryhill. Also survived by five grandchildren, Van R. Small Jr., Lauren S. Bonner (Shem), Chava T. Ketchens, Sr., Rashad C. Ketchens, Sr. (Amanda), George Rogers III, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends of the family, also Pastor, Officers and Members of Bethel AME Church are invited to attend the Visitation on Monday, November 3, 2014 at Bethel AME Church, 1437 Caffin Avenue from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon.
