Ms. Dorothy Roy, 85, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas.


Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Roy, will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Mercy Funeral Home Chapel, located at 1395 Gladys Street in Beaumont, Texas 77701. A Public viewing for Ms. Roy will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m. and visitation on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial Service will follow at the Live Oak Memorial Park and Cemetery in Nederland, Texas. For your safety, social distancing and facial masks are recommended. 


 


Obituary


Dorothy “Dot” Roy, age 85, passed away on February 19, 2026. She was born on May 31, 1940, to the late Pearlie B. Woods and was preceded in death by her son, Clarence “Audie” Roy.



Dorothy worked for many years at Quick Serve Quality Meats until her retirement. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with those closest to her, often creating moments filled with laughter and conversation. She attended Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church.



She leaves to cherish her memory her granddaughter, Chavonne Williams, and her              great-grandsons, Brandon Williams and Jhavon Williams, who were her pride and joy. The love she shared with her family will always remain a meaningful part of their lives.



Dorothy “Dot” Roy will be remembered through the memories she leaves behind and the love she shared with those closest to her.
