Dorothy T. Ruth

Dorothy T. Ruth, 96, died July 15th at Chandler IV Estates. She was the wife of the late Kenneth S. Ruth. Born: Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (Ebert) Coffin. Personal: Before her retirement at the age of 80, she was the administrator of the Park Home, Williamsport, PA. She was an avid bowler and belonged to several bowling leagues in Williamsport and Pen Argyl. "Mom-Mom" (as she was affectionately call by all who knew her) was an active follower of all her great-grandchildren's sports. At the age of 90 she would still be on the sidelines cheering them on. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Memberships: Dorothy was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Pen Argy. Survivors: Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Nancy Overdorf and her husband David of Plainfield Township, son Kenneth and his wife Carol of Apopka, FL. Eight grandchildren, Lori Jones and her husband David, David Overdorf and his wife Alison all of Plainfield Township, Bonnie O'Connor and her husband Martin of Hockessin, DE, Rebecca Ruth, Diane Contreras, Kenneth Ruth and wife Nicole all of Apopka, FL, Michael Marich and wife Audrey of Kempton, PA, Sue Jones of Bethlehem and Alison Bowman and husband John of Laureldale, PA, twenty-four great grandchildren and a sister Marguerite Whitesell of Bethlehem. She was preceded in death by a daughter Carole A. Marich, a sister Ruth Opp and two brothers, Erwin and Gordon Coffin. Services: Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 10 AM at the Guerro & Ruggiero Funeral Home, www.ruggierofuneralhome.com, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl. There will be a viewing beginning at 9 AM until 9:45 AM, Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bethlehem Memorial Park.
