SAFRANEK During the last century three Dorothy Safraneks have resided in Solon, Ohio, all related by marriage. June 16, 2018 the last Dorothy peacefully passed at age 91. Born April, 21 1927 to the late Frank and Mary Dutka, Dorothy grew up on Buckeye Road in Cleveland with many other Hungarian Americans. Dorothy 's family moved to Solon, and she met the love of her life, Leonard Safranek while the two attended Solon High School. They were married February 5, 1949 until his passing on March 3, 2011. Dottie retired from the Solon School System and enjoyed bowling, golfing, gambling, but mostly smoking her cigarettes. She was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 1863. Dorothy is survived by daughter Patricia (Edward) Bracey, son Jerry (Mary) Safranek, grandson Ricky Safranek, sister Eleanor (Raymond) Smiley, many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends Monday 4-7 P.M. at Tabone Komorowski Funeral Home, 33650 Solon Rd. (just W. of SOM). Funeral Service 11:30 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. So sorry to hear this. I remember her joking at the last Cousins Luncheon that she was our "Matriarch" since she was the oldest surviving cousin. Love and hugs to Patti and Jerry and to Eleanor and all the Smileys...

My Aunt Dottie was fun loving, upbeat and always wore a beautiful smile. I'm certain that she and Uncle Leonard are together once again ... They are both sorely missed by family and friends.
