Read MoreMiss Saulnier was my fourth grade teacher 30 years ago. I'll always remember the extra help she gave me in math after school, selecting me to be Charlie Brown in the class play, visiting me when I was home with a broken leg. Those memories will live on for as long as I live. My condolences to all of Dot's friends and family.

Dot was the first person to encourage me in teaching. I loved visiting with her and Aunt Martha. Such good folks who were always kind to the skinny little blond cousin who wanted to twirl the baton as well as Jean did. The Smith family has thinned and no longer in Framingham--but I remember and always with a smile.
