I easily picture Dottie coming out to my deck overlooking Lake MI to visit in the morning while I was reading -- always ready with a political or social comment with that droll sarcasm. Such a generous and supportive friend. So proud of her daughters and grandsons. She will be sorely missed.

Dottie and her daughters were a fun part of our lives during Erin and Andrea's school years in Dexter! We will always remember the HOT summer day Dottie came to pick up the girls at our house, handed me the treat she brought for the kids, but was so hot, dived into our pool with all her clothes on. Dottie, you were a good friend. Thank you for being YOU.

Andrea, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I didn't know her well, but for a few years we had a shared interest. I hope her love for you will help you get through the next few days and months and years.

Andrea, I'm so sorry for your loss. Reading about your mom, I'm sure she was very proud of the wonderful, compassionate teacher/woman you became. I know this is an incredibly difficult time. Prayers to you and your boys.

I will miss you terribly Dottie. Even though we didnt talk often after you and John moved, you were in my thoughts often. I know you were happy after leaving Ludington since you were closer to family. Dick and I enjoyed dinners with you and John and will miss them. Love, Marion and Dick Baxter
