Dorothy B. Soule

When reading of Dorothy's obituary I was reminded what a gentle sweet soul she was when we were young girls and both of our families lived in Portland. She was my mother's cousin, as both her mother and my Mom's mother were sisters. My Mom was Rotha Carroll Donnell--I am Marjorie Donnell Carothers and we have resided in Portland for five months. My condolences to you, the family, and know that Dorothy was much loved early on.

The members of the St. Helens Garden Club have fond memories of her time out here. We have missed her presence at our club meetings the past several years. She was a wonderful person to know and who was so willing to share.

Dorothy will be remembered by all of us.

Dorothy was tireless in her service to others. The numerous agencies that she volunteered with allowed her to share her gift of time with many others. Dorothy was steadfast in her friendships. I was not surprise but very sad to learn of the death of my dear friend Dorothy. I have felt her loss for some time now as I realized she was not with me on my visits to her. What a remarkable woman, friend and of course mother she was. I feel so terribly blessed to have had her in my life all these many years.
