Mother Dorothy Staple

I know her as Nanny, she adopted me as a daughter in 1979 and was a grandmother to my 2 children, but not only did she adopt my family, so did her whole family. My daughter Kendra could not say Granny....so that is how she became Nanny to our family. She was a wonderful person and I don't know of anyone who didn't love her. Where ever she lived she was always well known and loved. Her heart was broken when her daughter passed a year ago and was never happy after that. Rest In Peace Nanny...

A great woman of God. Very kind hearted, friendly, and of deep faith. She will be missed, but her legacy will live on. It was an honor knowing her.

My condolences to the family of Dorothy. She was a neighbor of my mother, Priscilla, at Hickory Senior apartments. I always liked Dorothy's smile.
Our family is also having a Celebration of Life for our mother, Priscilla, as she passed away January 17th of this year.
Have a special celebration, as both of these ladies lived a long life.

Always enjoyed talking to Dorothy at Heartland. She was a gracious, enjoyable person who always made you feel better. She was perhaps the most popular resident in the facility. May God's blessings be upon her, and upon her family, which was so precious to her.
