Not sure what to say?

I was homeless for a period of time and often had lunch at St. Vincent de Paul's Village. Ms. Dorothy was always there on Sundays, greeting each person as they stood in line to eat. I am grateful for her kindness and her smiles.

Dorothy was my aunt and speaking for my family, she was a wonderful person in so many ways. Her children and grandchildren are direct reflections of her. My uncle knew at the University of Michigan (where they met) what a catch she was!

What a dear woman. She brightened so many lives on Sundays. And I'm sure on every day! Miss and love you Dorothy. Toto's calling! JB from Fr. Joe's.

January 18, 2014: I just returned from "Father Joe's Cafe" at the St Vincent de Paul residential facility downtown. I do the GREETER job one Saturday a month, as Dorothy did for years on Sundays. Posted on the wall near the Greeter station is a placque in her memory. So many of the clients asked - Did Dorothy pass away? They were devastated, as she had a smile for everyone. They loved her and miss her already. - Lois Mulcahey

She was my second Mom (AFS Mom). She was very compassionate and loving. I miss her a lot

Mohammed Abdo "Stone"

Mrs. Stone was my teacher at La Presa JH in it's inaugural year. Tough school. But she had an impact as one of the teachers who helped shaped your life. I saw her sometime in the past few years and I let her know how I remembered her. We talked a bit and I walked away feeling better for having crossed paths. It's nice to know she lived a full life at it's best.

Dottie made this world a better place. I am honored to have known her and I always cherish the times I spent with her.

What a lovely tribute to a remarkable woman. My condolences to everyone in the Stone and extended family.

Barbara,
Your mother had a great smile and a great personality.

Love,
