Not sure what to say?

I just found out about Dorothy's death and want to extend my condolences to Carol Ann, Alan and Becky. You all were a part of my tennis life and I appreciate everything that you did for me and my family. Dorothy, you were like a second Mom to me and I will never forget you.

Becky, sorry to hear about your Mom. I remember her when we went to Lester school

Carol Ann, I was saddened to read of the death of your Mom. I remember many happy hours spent in your home and with her when we were young. She was a vital member of our community who gave so much to so many young people. She seems to have lived her life to the fullest in pursuing interests vital to her. May you and your family be warmed by the many fond memories and thanks Dorothy deserved from her friends in Jackson.

If ever a person contributed to my love of and success at the game of tennis it was Dorothy Vest. Her love of the game and ability to coach our Provine High School tennis team to win the state championship in 1958 will forever be appreciated. We were so very fortunate to have her in our lives and she will be forever remembered and adored. She surely made a great contribution to the fantastic game of tennis in the state of Mississippi. May she rest in peace.

My name is Pat Horn Martin and I was born
and raised in Jackson,Miss. As a young
girl my father would drop me off on
his way to work at Battlefield Park
every morning in the summer months
and with a tennis racket in hand, a
lunch bag, and a strong desire to
learn to play tennis. This is where
I meet Dorothy Vest. She took me
under her wings and shared her love
of tennis with me by giving me her
support, and I mean in every way from
hitting a tennis ball...

Carol Ann, Allen, sorry about the loss of your mother. She was a remarkable woman.
