Dorothy Walker Obituary

Dorothy Noell Walker

June 19, 1925 - January 19, 2024

Columbia, South Carolina - Dorothy Noell Walker left her Earthly home on Friday, January 19, 2024. She was born on June 19, 1925 in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Prince McCall Noell and Lulu Mitchell Noell. She was a graduate of Georgia State Women's college, now Valdosta State University. She was the wife of the late Major Paul G. Walker, Jr. (Retired). She is survived by her daughter, Anne Walker of Lexington, SC, nephew, Mitchell West of Columbia, SC, and many cousins. In addition to her parents, and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Marjorie Noell West, and brother-in-law, Charles West.

She was a member of Petersen Presbyterian Church from 1966 to 2023 when its ministry was complete. She served as an Elder, Presbyterian Circle Leader, and served in many other areas of the church. She was an administrative assistant to the Principal at Happy Time Center, and in Congaree, now Trinity Presbytery. She loved flowers of all kinds and grew many in her yard. She loved birds from her backyard, her pets, her family, traveling, and her Lord Jesus.

Thanks to LaTonya, Yuri, Leslie, Patricia, and the Agape Hospice team, Ebony, Susan, Christine, Tim, Chelsea, and Kelly for loving and caring for my mother.
