I just found out about Dottie’s passing and am so very sorry for her family’s loss. In my fifteen years as Activity Director at the American Inn, I got to know Dottie well and always admired her spirit and energy. I always told her I wanted to be her when I grew up. She was one-of-kind and I will never forget her. ❤

I only wish I could have known her many years ago. I was a resident at American Inn for 2 years, but only summers, and so I didn’t get to see her very often. And that was my loss! Her sense of humor was second to none, and I will miss the get-togethers at Millie’s house.
