We were out of town and missed the memorial time with the family here at C.S. Our hearts grieve for you, the family, but we know Dorothy is walking hand in hand with Jesus today. Her smile was always a welcoming part of the little Black Forest Nazarene church, and she was always a willing help in any activity going on at the church. She even laughed at Joe's jokes!! We have her beautiful hump-backed trunk that her grand-parents brought West on covered wagon with all their belongings years...

What an honor to know Dorothy. She was such a wonderful Christian example. Always happy - always smiling. We look forward to seeing her again, walking up the streets of gold, reminiscing about Black Forest. Your family will be remembered in prayer and we pray God will bless each of richly. We love you all!

When we think of Joe and Dorothy, we think of feet put to ministry...we think of dedicated followers of God's will...we think of the Fruit of the Spirit lived out in daily lives...we think of people obeying the Great Commission...we think of people who see a need and help to fulfill it...we think of mentors that disciple others to know Christ in a personal way...we think of laughter and joy of the Lord oozing out of their whole being...we think of... This list could go on and on and on. Joe...

Joe and Dorothy have been good friends for many years. Her passing was sad, and leaves us all with a large gap in life. At the same time, the passing of this fine Christian friend can be viewed, not as the coming of darkness, but the extinguishing of the candle because dawn has arrived. My love to her family.

There is nothing like the legacy of a wonderful Christian mom. Her values will live on in her family and their decendents. We are proud of her son, Doug, and thank her for raising him to be such a loyal husband to our daughter, Debbie. God bless her.

Joe, we send our love and prayers to you. Dorothy was a great friend and she will be sorely missed. She was a great mother and devoted Christian and always exemplified a Christlike spirit. We remember all the good times at Black Forest and when you came in your motorhome to visit us, especially in Texas. We were gone to a school reunion and just learned about Dorothy.

Dear Joe and family, When Doug called to tell me that Dorothy had gone to heaven, I remembered what a grand lady she had been. She was such a great mother, wife and friend. She was so full of energy and gave of herself constantly. I have so many fond memories of her playing the piano, teaching SS, listening to a friend and sharing her interesting life. She will ge missed so much by all of you. My prayers go out to you. Love, Donna Hance Hayes Mussett.
