Not sure what to say?

Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.
~ The Appeal-Democrat Family

Verna: My most sincere sympathy in the loss of your very dear mother. Too many things to mention over the years, but all will be graciously remembered. Our families have had so much to be thankful for.

Mrs. Baker was a great teacher and wonderful friend, she always remembered who you were no matter how long it had been since you last saw her. She made a great difference for so many. Nancy Reed ( Crossville, Tn)

Dortha--It's sad news indeed. I remember a conversation that we once had when you were lamenting the loss of Vernon and Eddie, and you said, "Every morning when I wake up, it's a surprise." I have carried that comment with me, trying to wake up each day with a sense of surprise--even though that "surprise" is taken out of context, you were always a ray of sunshine in my day whenever we visited. You will be greatly missed. Michelle Johnson

Dortha, you will be missed by all who knew you. You were a wonderful teacher and a dear friend. You touched many lives and lead us by example. ~~ Chris Bogdanoff Bare

Mrs. Baker taught us well, inside and outside the classroom, as students and later as friends. Anyone looking for a role model of how to live a fruitful and rich life, would do well to follow her example. Her influence will continue in those she touched in school, in her community and beyond.
