OBITUARY

Dotha Fisher

Dotha Fisher was born November 2, 1940, to Leonard and Gertha Walker in Gilmer Texas where she also attended Elementary, Junior and Bruce High School. Immediately after High School, she married Clark Fisher and to this union two children were born Chanda and Orlando. In 1965, Dotha and her family relocated to Sacramento California. In 1966, she began her career at Campbell’s Soup where she worked until retirement.

Dotha was a doting Mother and Grandmother always talking about her children and grandchildren and smiling from ear to ear when they were around. All of their friends quickly became either her friends or her children too. She

was a lover of people, no matter who you were she would always make you feel at home.

Later in life, because of Dotha’s love for children, she decided she wanted to become a foster parent. She wanted to help young girls who needed love and direction. After years of fostering, she decided to adopt Oneisha and Iesha. Dotha was a charter member and founder on the Mother’s Board of the Greater St. Stephen Baptist Church, which later became New Direction Christian Center under the Pastorship of her son in law, Dr. Anthony Ramsey -Wallace.

If you knew Dotha, you knew that she loved to dress, look good and smell good. She always shined like diamonds, which she loved. If you knew Dotha, you knew she was an amazing cook and loved good

food. If you knew Dotha, you knew she enjoyed shopping, traveling, socializing, having a good time laughing and talking with family and friends. Dotha lived her life to the fullest in style and with a smile.

If you knew Dotha, you knew she was a child of God and an awesome Lady!

Dotha was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Gertha Walker. She leaves to cherish and continue her rich legacy, loving daughter, Chanda (Dr. Anthony Ramsey-Wallace); Son, Orlando Fisher; Oneisha Fisher; Iesha Fisher; Sister, Hazel McDaniel; Grandchildren, Marlon; Orlando Jr ; Ebony; Chanell; Ashia; Mercedes; Shaw’ne; Otana; Shalia; Sierra; Rochelle; Jahkai; Markei and Makia; 11 Great grandchildren and a host of Nieces, Nephews, family and friends.

On March 27, 2017, the Lord transitioned Dotha Fisher from labor to reward.
