I had the opportunity to meet Doug at my parent's cocktail party about 7 years ago in Naples and he left a memorable impression. His sense of humor, his politics, and his taste for Scotch were as impressive of how he lived his life. As I visited my mom in the hospital Nov 5th, we got to talking about Doug just minutes after he had passed. We were upset over the news my mom got from Elizabeth the very next day.
