Doug HASSELL

I grew up with Doug in Toronto in the 1960s and 70s. We were neighbours, schoolmates and he was a member of my close group of friends. He was well-respected and well-liked by all who knew him. I'm proud to have known him and to have been his friend. He was a good friend. My sincerest sympathies to his family.

Hi Martha and family,
We send our deepest condolences and are deeply saddened by your loss. We always enjoyed talking with Doug during the kids swim meets. Andrea and I are living in Houston now, so we did not hear this until Easter. We hope that you and your family are doing well during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

So very sorry to learn of your loss - We have such fond memories of block parties, watching Doug take off on his bike or rollerblades, always with a warm smile and a hearty 'hello'- sorry we couldn't be with you as we were away but know our thoughts were and are with you all - We're hopeful memories of better times will help to ease your loss

Martha, Jenny and Stephanie, Our deepest sympathy over the great loss of your wonderful husband and father. Doug was an adventurer and had a passion for many outdoor activities; but the greatest passion he had was his family. It was evident in so many ways just how much he loved you and fought his battle to stay with you.we will miss him, his smile and his kindness. It was a pleasure to have known him. We hope that all the memories you have made together will help to ease your broken hearts....

My heart is deeply sadden to hear the news of Dougs passing. He put up an incredible fight to say the least. I will forever have fond memories of Doug and I am sending my love and strength to you Martha, and your amazing girls. Steph and Jenny, you are so lucky to have had such a incredible father like Doug. It will never seem fair to have lost him so soon but now he is pain free. Rest easy Doug, you are now with your buddy Larry.
