Doug Holland

I grew up nextdoor to Doug Holland. dan and I played together as children. I owe my career and livelihood to Doug. As a Professor of Accounting at Tennessee tech University, I often share the story. When it came time to go to college, my father suggested that I choose a path before I started. I originally thought medicine would be a good path for me, but quickly realized my error. I didn't particularly want to be an engineer. One day I looked next door and thought to myself, Mr Holland...

Hearing of Doug's passing brings me great sadness, yet many fond memories at the same time. We traveled to many RC events together for several years. Although I never met his kids, I felt I knew the, because he spoke of them so often. Doug and Chris were great people who always made me feel at home when I stopped by. My prayers to his family. I’ll always cherish the times we spent together "playing with our airplanes"
