Dear Sue and family,

Donna and I want to offer our condolences to you and your family is the loss of Doug. I remember him well - especially on a canoe trip in Wisconsin with some High School boys. He came along as a counselor/ bouncer. He wore this black coat all week and he was pretty big. One of the boys was outside the camp at twilight when he came upon Doug standing near some garbage cans. He said, Hi to Doug, and when Doug turned around, the kid got the scare of his life. It...

in your time of sorrow may god wrap his everloving arms around each of you.. I did not know doug but thru his wife, who was my boss I feel I did, and he is now in the presence of the lord. may the lord give you peace and comfort at this time.. thoughts and prayers r with you..

Our condolences to your family. Miss Dorothy Magnuson was our son's 1st grade teacher at CCA. Know that we are thinking of you and praying for you all.

I have so many great memories of Doug from our high school days together at Washington High School. He had the most amazing sense of humor and was one of the smartest students in our class. Even though I had not kept in close contact with him for many years, I still think of him as one of my closest and dearest friends. The last time I saw him was several years ago at the Dairy Queen in Washington, just about this time of year, at a high school reunion weekend at WACOHI. Several of our old...

We only met Doug once but we seem to know him well through the updates of his sweet and humble wife Sue & others. His positive and dedicated service to his Lord was continuous during his courageous battle with that horrible disease.
To Sue and family, our deepest sympathy for your loss of a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. We hold you up in prayer.

God Bless the Doug Magnuson family.

Doug was a kind neighbor and man. When my boys were young children and were in cub scouts or had to sell for different fundraising events through their school Doug always supported and encouraged them in their fundraising efforts. They were a bit shy when they first started out and knocked on his door but he always greeted them with his warm, caring smile and told them to please stop by here first when you have any fundraiser. This was extremely helpful to us since we have no other...

Doug was such a kind soul. Always very welcoming and sweet and friendly. I got to know Doug through his wife, Sue, when I volunteered during college at the nursing home where she worked. She invited me to a weekly Bible study at her home and that is where I met Doug. Each week, she and her family and a few other women in Bible study would gather for dinner at her home. I looked forward to those evenings every week, as their family was always so warm and welcoming and it made missing home so...
