Not sure what to say?

Marilyn and family,
What a sad day it was when Doug left us. We received several phone calls and emails from our Salt Lake friends and relatives to let us know of Doug's passing.
Several years ago, my husband was selected to take Doug into the Great Salt Lake marshes in his airboat for some TV footage. They had a great time enjoying the habitat and wildlife as well as the airboat ride.
I had the pleasure of having Doug emcee a couple of my Gander Handlers Ducks Unlimited...

Dear Miller Family:
As the former Executive Director of Easter Seals in Utah, I will always hold Doug in high regard for the wonderful manner in which he interacted with children with disabilities when he appeared on our KSL TV telethon in the 1990s. He was compassionate, kind and very understanding in his approach to these children. He was a joy to work with. He is missed.

I am one of the many fans of Doug Miller. He will be missed. My sincere condolences to his family.

To the Miller Family,
We were saddened to hear of Doug's passing and we had met him several times at the Expo Center during his hunting and fishing expo. He was such a great man to talk to and to watch on television. He had such a great and wonderful personality and we know he touched our lives just knowing him. We know what it is like to have diverculitis, because 5 years ago I had a ruptured colon because of it and I was very lucky to have made it to the hospital when I did. We want...

Our sincere condolences to Doug's family. I enjoyed getting to know Doug on the show, I made it onto snapshots of the week one time. That made my day. I will miss going on adventures with Doug and love wild places and wild things as Doug so truthfully taught us all about. I met Doug at the Outdoors Expo a couple years ago, and must admit he was just as personable and warm in person as he seemed on television. We will miss you Doug. May your spirit live on in all the wild places and wild...

Dear Miller family,
Every day will be difficult for you for quite some time, with the passing of your great dad, husband, grandfather, and friend. I hope that the sadness will soon pass and that the happy memories of him will be many. I had the opportunity of working with Doug at KUTV for a short while and appreciate the impact he made on me and my family. He is one that will never be forgotten and has created quite a legacy in my book! I feel honored to have known him and worked...

We as a family will greatly miss Doug's way of describing what he was doing. We loved all of his descriptive wording. Our grand daughter especially loved seeing and shaking his hand at his Spring hunting shows. She took a picture of my moose that she posed with and Doug signed it for her. After that all she has talked about is getting a picture signed by him of her first and every animal after that she got each year at hunting. He really endeared her to the sport of hunting. When she...
