What an honor it was to know and work with Doug. We had many talks. He shared with me his excitement and amazement that he had met this girl named Elaine. He was determined to do what ever it took to be with her. He was the happiest man on earth when she finally came around. I have no doubt that the first thing he did in Heaven was ask God to be Elaine's guardian Angel! I will see you on the other side my friend. Be at peace and God Bless You and your family.

Doug, a man who loved God and others. He displayed great work ethics and shared his love for God with the world around him. He spoke highly of his wonderful new found love of his life, Elaine. He just couldn't believe it, as he told me, that God gifted him with such a beautiful person as Elaine. Working with you, supplying doors for you and Forte Homes was wonderful. Always had such respect and admiration for you. I'll see you on the other side my brother and friend.

You were always my favorite Cowboy. You were always strong and resilient. Ride those horses and rejoice that you no longer have pain. Elaine, I'm so very sorry for the loss of your love and your best friend. He was such a great man.

Elaine -I'm so sorry for your loss. Doug was one of a kind for sure. It was an honor and privilege being involved in his care. I experienced his infectious laughter and always saw that gleam in his eye when he would talk about his "lovely bride"or his family. The love between the two of you was priceless. The thing that makes me smile the most when thinking about him though is how he always just made himself comfortable when coming to the office to see us. I would walk in the room and he...
